Here is the guide for Gala Day 2010. Obviously we hope the sun will shine on Saturday 5th June, but if it doesn't there is a contingency plan to have the crowning of Queen Louise Lochrie in Stonehouse Primary school. The decision on whether to invoke the wet weather plan is solely at the discretion of the Gala Group and that decision is made at 11am on the morning of the Gala day.

Parade assembles at Sidehead Road from 11.15am
Judging of floats, walking pageants etc.
Parade leaves at 12 noon prompt.
Parade route: Sidehead Road, Newfield Road, down Strathaven Road, Townhead Street, King Street, Lawrie Street, to Alexander Hamilton Memorial Park. (Floats, cars etc. to disband at Crow Road)
Crowning of Queen Louise Lochrie at the Band Stand at 1pm
Eleanor Roxburgh School of Dance following crowning ceremony
Rides, sideshows, entertainment in the playing field
