Text: Isaiah 51 v 1

Isaiah 51 v 1

  1. Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.

Luke 18 v 35-43

  1. And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
  2. And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
  3. And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
  4. And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
  5. And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
  6. And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
  7. Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
  8. And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
  9. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

Matthew 14 v 25-31

  1. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
  2. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
  3. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
  4. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
  5. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
  6. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
  7. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Numbers 21 v 6-9

  1. And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
  2. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
  3. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
  4. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Matthew 27 v 50-55

  1. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
  2. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
  3. And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
  4. And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
  5. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
  6. And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

Luke 24 v 13-16, 21-24, 30-31

  1. And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
  2. And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
  3. And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
  4. But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
  1. But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
  2. Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
  3. And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
  4. And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
  1. And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
  2. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Revelation 1 v 12-18

  1. And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
  2. And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
  3. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
  4. And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
  5. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
  6. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
  7. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
